Production Planner (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize productive capacity.
• Develop and improve scheduling processes using ERP and other planning tools.
• Analyze sales order releases, capacity, material requirements, master production schedules, work orders, and in-process orders.
• Coordinate material availability and production-planning issues with inventory, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, supervisors, and project or program management.
• Set work-order start dates, adjust priorities and schedules, and communicate changes based on specifications, resources, and project-manager input.
• Update late-delivery reports with root causes and recovery plans; support prototype builds, tooling, NCR/DLA processes, new processes, and cycle-time reviews.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus at least one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, drawings, blueprints, and written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before customers or employees.
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills, with the ability to solve practical problems involving limited standardization and changing variables.
• Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, quality, cost-consciousness, ethics, organizational, planning, adaptability, and time-management skills.
