Accountant - GL

Location: Singapore. Hybrid working allows working from home up to two days per week. This is a temporary one-year role; no relocation support is offered.

What you will do

• Own general ledger accounting and manage month-end close activities for Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial information to support accurate reporting.
• Investigate balance sheet issues, coordinate corrective actions, and resolve complex accounting matters.
• Prepare accounting outputs and support external audits by responding to audit queries.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and increase the effectiveness of accounting processes.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in general ledger accounting, or in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or another finance area with a strong understanding of general ledger accounting.
• Experience owning month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Experience resolving complex balance sheet issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience preparing accounting outputs and addressing audit queries for assigned entities.
• Experience applying accounting principles to resolve complex accounting matters and support accurate financial reporting.

Nice to have

• Korean language skills for working with stakeholders in Korea.
