Strategic Sourcing Category Manager, IT & Digital Health

Location: Remote within the United States; travel 1–20% within the US.

Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing events for assigned IT and digital health categories, from strategy and RFP design through award recommendation.
• Develop category roadmaps using market intelligence, supplier landscapes, cost drivers, purchasing data, utilization, spend patterns, and risk considerations.
• Manage RFP processes, supplier Q&A, bid evaluation, total-cost analysis, internal committees, and member advisory groups.
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, incentives, payment terms, logistics, service levels, supply continuity, and resiliency commitments.
• Create and manage project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, governance, regulatory compliance, and post-award handoffs.
• Coach Specialists and Analysts while improving sourcing tools, methodologies, automation, and stakeholder experience.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of applicable work experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to manage deadlines, adapt priorities, make independent decisions, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to operate computer programs and software and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, suppliers, and the public, including in close quarters with interruptions.
• Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods and perform sedentary work involving up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

Nice to have

• Strategic sourcing, contracting, distribution, vendor program management, contract operations, clinical supply chain, or purchased services experience.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating agreements.
• Experience in a healthcare GPO, health system supply chain, or medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturer.
• Familiarity with sourcing platforms, e-sourcing tools, and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Healthcare experience.
