Director of Brand & Communications

Location: Fully remote, based in Mexico, Ukraine, or Brazil

Salary: US$45,000–70,000 base per year, plus a 10–20% bonus; contractor invoicing monthly.

hirify.global is a profitable direct-to-consumer pet brand selling premium stainless steel cat water fountains, filters, and accessories through Shopify, Amazon, and Chewy; it has launched a dog brand and generates $50M+ annually while scaling toward $100M+.

What you will do

• Own the brand story, positioning, tone of voice, guidelines, asset library, and consistency across both brands.
• Design and manage a giving-back program with shelter and rescue partners, including adoption events, donation drives, and impact reporting.
• Build the annual brand-moment calendar and execute activations, pop-ups, events, sponsorships, stunts, and campaigns end to end.
• Generate earned media through direct pitching or a managed PR agency, including reviews, podcasts, gift guides, and awards.
• Build a super-fan community and turn customer reviews, photos, and stories into brand content.
• Report brand health monthly, manage the brand budget, set monthly Rocks with the CEO, and create SOPs.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mexico, Ukraine, or Brazil and work fully remotely.
• Fluent English required.
• 7+ years in brand, communications, or brand marketing at consumer brands is ideal; 5–6 years with strong results may also be considered.
• Experience building consumer-brand awareness and goodwill through causes, events, and PR, ideally at an early-stage company.
• Experience planning and delivering brand moments end to end, on time and on budget, across multiple partners.
• Experience running credible, measured nonprofit, shelter, or rescue partnerships.
• Ability to turn brand moments into stories for press and customers, with demonstrated press wins.
• Experience running campaigns for a North American audience and coordinating events and partners there through agencies, partners, and local contractors.
• Strong brand judgment, consistency management, commercial measurement skills, cultural fit with the stated values, and willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed.
• Willingness to work closely with the founder and help scale the company; pet industry experience is a bonus.
