Head of Intergovernmental & Regulatory Affairs - EU & UK (Web3)

What you will do

• Develop and execute a government relations strategy aligned with business objectives and expansion priorities.
• Build relationships with regulators, government agencies, legislative bodies, and industry associations across key jurisdictions.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory and legislative developments, including MiCA, DORA, FSMA, and equivalent frameworks, and explain their implications to internal stakeholders.
• Represent OKX in regulatory consultations, policy roundtables, and industry working groups; draft regulatory submissions, consultation responses, and position papers.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Product, Communications, and Business teams to embed regulatory considerations in business decisions.
• Advise senior leadership and the Board on geopolitical and regulatory risk, and lead and grow the government relations and public policy team.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, ideally including financial services or emerging technology.
• Deep understanding of the global crypto and digital-asset regulatory landscape.
• Existing relationships with regulators or government officials in the EEA and UK.
• Direct experience engaging with regulators from industry, government, or a regulatory body.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex regulatory concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strategic thinking combined with practical, execution-oriented judgment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities.
