iOS Engineering Team Lead

Location: London, UK; hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Salary: Up to £130,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and develop a growing team of iOS engineers, including 1:1s, performance reviews, hiring, and career progression.
• Drive delivery of new features for a production iOS application used by electric vehicle customers.
• Remain hands-on with Swift and SwiftUI, contributing to development and code quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders to turn ideas into shipped features.
• Champion engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and intelligent adoption of AI tools.
• Spend approximately 60–70% of the role on leadership, people management, and delivery, and 30–40% on hands-on engineering.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
• Proven experience directly managing engineers, beyond mentoring or acting as a technical point of contact.
• Experience delivering and scaling production-grade mobile applications.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Passion for building high-performing engineering teams while remaining technically involved.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD, Bitrise, Firebase, Datadog, or Sentry.
