Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: Fully remote. Relocation support is available to hubs in Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Portugal, and Spain.

What you will do

• Lead the hirify.global Card Activation team and large cross-team projects through production.
• Stay hands-on by writing code, reviewing designs, participating in architecture discussions, and making key technical decisions.
• Build scalable, distributed solutions supporting hirify.global Card growth, monetization, and customer experience.
• Ensure non-functional requirements, technical debt management, incident handling, and delivery transparency.
• Drive AI tool and practice adoption across the SDLC to improve engineering productivity.
• Hire, evaluate, mentor, and motivate engineers while improving cross-functional collaboration and team performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years with Golang, though Golang is not mandatory.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, preferably in a fast-growing fintech or e-commerce company.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and working with high-load architectures.
• Solid understanding of backend technologies including PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and microservices architecture.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code and work proactively and independently.
• Strong communication skills in English.
