Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), Software Development (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; Flex work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, or partners.

Base salary: €104,000–€156,000 EUR per year in Ireland; the role may also include a bonus or commission and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, configure, and debug AI agents and integrations in complex live enterprise tenant environments.
• Lead technical discovery with senior customer leaders and translate ambiguous business requirements into product configurations, proofs of concept, and integration specifications.
• Synthesize field telemetry, edge-case failures, and recurring customer friction into product roadmap and engineering backlog insights.
• Turn customer-specific fixes into standardized, automated, out-of-the-box product capabilities.
• Advise hirify.global Services leads, AI Deployment Architects, account teams, and customer executives across engagements.
• Own strategically important engagements through standard six-month deployment cycles and mentor other FDEs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Software Development, including leadership of complex, high-stakes enterprise technical engagements.
• Hands-on coding and debugging skills in Python, Java, or similar, with deep knowledge of REST APIs, object-oriented design, system architecture, and integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of hirify.global business processes, security and permissions, tenant configuration, integrations, and customer implementation and governance.
• Experience partnering directly with enterprise executives on software deployments, live data troubleshooting, and custom workflow integration.
• Ability to abstract durable product requirements from one-off customer issues and influence product direction through field insight.
• Exceptional verbal and written technical communication, including explaining complex technical challenges to non-technical leaders.
• Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and evolving requirements across Product, Engineering, Services, and Sales.
• Collaborative, low-ego leadership style with experience mentoring engineers and supporting multidisciplinary account and delivery pods.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Applied experience with LLM-powered or agentic AI systems, including prompt or context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Working understanding of how model behavior becomes product and customer-facing issues in the field.
