Senior Software Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is an early-stage AI startup building a platform that collects and structures web data for hedge funds, startups, and enterprise customers.

What you will do

• Develop autonomous agents for real-world information extraction problems.
• Design and ship a full-stack, self-serve application for technical and non-technical users.
• Maintain and scale backend architecture and services processing thousands of requests per second and tens of millions of rows daily.
• Own significant parts of the core infrastructure for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing web data.
• Contribute across the small-team stack, including website updates and infrastructure as code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping software, or equivalent skill.
• Experience launching meaningful products in small teams or 0-to-1 environments.
• Interest in working across the stack, including backend, ML, infrastructure, and AI agents.
• Willingness to work in person, side by side with the team in NYC.
• Excitement for early-stage startup speed and a bias toward action.

Nice to have

• LLM application experience, including RAG, agents, LangChain, model evaluation, or fine-tuning.
• Deep knowledge of antibot systems and reverse engineering, including JavaScript deobfuscation, browser patching, or running JavaScript in an isolated VM.

Hiring process

• Initial 30-minute conversation with the CEO or CTO.
• 50-minute code walkthrough and technical conversation with an engineer, followed by a 120-minute systems design and product design session.
• Final round may include a virtual or in-person onsite, take-home assignment, or work trial.
