IT-Specialist Workload-Automation (m/f/d)

Location: Mannheim or Fürth, Germany; mobile office and flexible working time models are available.

What you will do

• Implement new and amended batch processes in SAP, VSE, Unix, Windows, and OS400 using the APX scheduling system.
• Create and maintain scripts or JCL and their related documentation.
• Process service requests, incidents, and other tickets across the supported environments.
• Monitor job runs and report or clean up job aborts as a second-level support specialist.
• Collaborate with business departments, developers, and system engineers and participate in national and international IT projects.

Requirements

• Apprenticeship or degree as an IT specialist, or a comparable well-founded IT qualification.
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language in a Unix, mainframe, or Windows environment and its underlying system environment.
• Strong analytical skills and a goal-oriented, independent approach to work.
• Willingness to participate in on-call assignments, alternatively regular night shifts, in a fixed rotation.
• Good written and spoken business and technical English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with a job scheduling system such as APX, UC4, Control-M, or TWS.
• German language skills.
