AI Engineer

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with 3 days a week in the office. Work from anywhere is available for 2 weeks a year.

hirify.global operates a lead generation business supported by AI agents that diagnose performance problems and recommend marketing actions.

What you will do

• Build and own rule-based and LLM agents end to end, from understanding operator workflows through production operation.
• Use shared, versioned rules and tools rather than hard-coded agent logic.
• Connect agents to the data warehouse, internal services, and APIs used by the business.
• Produce structured, validated outputs and clear application logic that operators can trust.
• Log decisions, context, approvals, and overrides; build mechanisms for progression from recommendations to approved and autonomous actions.
• Evaluate agent behaviour and operate shipped systems through tracing, failure handling, and quality, latency, and cost tracking.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering experience, including at least one LLM application or agent shipped to real users.
• Production-grade Python and productive TypeScript experience, with typed, tested code and clear interfaces; both languages are used in the role.
• LLM engineering experience with tool calling, structured outputs, context management, and evaluation on representative test sets.
• Experience with SQL, HTTP APIs, containers, CI/CD, and a cloud platform.
• Ability to debug using logs and traces.
• Ability to design reliable AI systems covering data and context, security and governance, monitoring and observability, failure handling and recovery, cost, performance, and lifecycle.
• Ability to choose between probabilistic and deterministic approaches and retain technical ownership of AI-native delivery.

• Agents used daily by operators with a feedback loop.
• AWS SageMaker, AWS ECS/Fargate, Terraform, and CircleCI.
• Snowflake and dbt.
• Event logging for analytics or machine learning.
• Lead generation or ad tech experience.
