Multimedia Specialist (Photography/Video)

Location: Hybrid/On-site in Philadelphia, PA; local travel may be required.

What you will do

• Produce timely still photography, videography, infographics, and multimedia content for internal and external communications, events, demonstrations, ceremonies, and crisis situations.
• Produce and edit video news releases, b-roll, podcasts, vodcasts, social media content, and motion graphics.
• Write photo captions, video descriptions, scripts, and story material; support on-camera interviews and story development.
• Perform video format conversion, color correction, image processing, photo cropping, editing, captioning, archiving, and search/retrieval preparation.
• Operate digital video cameras and editing software while applying lighting, sound design, interviewing, and production techniques.
• Maintain and upgrade multimedia skills and capabilities in new technologies and software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, video production, or a related broadcast field; or DINFOS-accredited mass communications specialist training; or four years of active-duty photojournalism experience.
• Three years within the last seven years providing scriptwriting, caption writing, video editing, videography, video production, and still photography in a public affairs or corporate communications environment.
• Experience with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop CS4/5/6, Adobe Premiere, PC and iOS operating systems, and digital video conversion between file formats.
• Professional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and track tasks effectively.
• Active Public Trust or ability to obtain one.
