Líder de Grupo de Calidad Operaciones (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosí, Mexico; full-time onsite attendance required. The role follows a 4x3 schedule with monthly shift rotation. No relocation benefits are provided, and GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship.

What you will do

• Manage the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment while meeting production cost, schedule, quality, productivity, and product requirements.
• Lead Global Manufacturing Systems processes and support launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
• Communicate quality goals, maintain quality standards, and use resources to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate hourly team members and Group Leaders, including JIT job instruction training.
• Build effective working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management while applying applicable national and local labor agreements.
• Promote safe work practices and achieve ergonomics, health and safety, housekeeping, lean manufacturing, synchronous manufacturing, and variation-reduction objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a People Leader with direct team management responsibilities.
• At least one year of experience in similar positions, including experience in manufacturing quality or operations environments.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry.
• Intermediate conversational English with the ability to maintain business-level conversations.
• Strong knowledge of problem-solving methodologies, including 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone Diagram, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO and IATF standards.
• Availability to work a 4x3 schedule with monthly shift rotation.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of welding processes.
