System Engineer (Linux/C++)

What you will do

• Design and optimize core system infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance issues across multiple system layers.
• Improve security through hardening, auditing, and best practices.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, capacity-planning, and system provisioning automation.
• Design networking architectures, load-balancing strategies, and failover mechanisms.
• Collaborate with application engineers and document architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in systems engineering, SRE, or low-level infrastructure work.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, including the kernel, networking, filesystems, and processes.
• Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and load balancing.
• Experience with performance analysis and profiling tools.
• Proficiency in at least two of C, C++, Go, Python, or Rust.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consensus, replication, and partitioning.
• Ability to debug complex issues across multiple system layers.

Nice to have

• Experience with kernel tuning or custom kernel module development.
• Background in storage systems or database internals.
• Familiarity with eBPF or system tracing tools such as perf, bpftrace, and strace.
• Security certifications or experience with compliance frameworks.
• Contributions to infrastructure open-source projects.
