Senior Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; Flex work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Base salary: €86,400–€129,600 per year in Ireland; bonus and annual refresh stock grants may also apply.

What you will do

• Build and maintain the internal developer platform, IDE configurations, extensions, and AI-assisted authoring environments for enterprise AI skills.
• Develop local CLI utilities, linters, pre-commit hooks, templates, boilerplate generators, SDKs, and validation tooling for MCP schemas and JSON-RPC skill contracts.
• Wrap enterprise REST APIs into MCP schemas and maintain Python and TypeScript skill libraries.
• Build codebase indexing, RAG, and context-ingestion pipelines that provide AI editors with current documentation and API specifications.
• Track developer friction, template adoption, and first-pass build success to reduce time-to-publish.
• Collaborate with domain experts, AI platform engineers, and site reliability teams to deliver tested, production-ready AI skills.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building developer tools, internal platform infrastructure, CLI utilities, or IDE extensions in Python or TypeScript.
• 2+ years designing developer platforms, SDKs, or DevEx infrastructure.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience optimizing AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or custom LLM coding extensions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience writing .cursorrules, system prompts, or context-injection pipelines for AI code editors.
• Strong knowledge of JSON Schema, Pydantic, OpenAPI, and API contracts.
• Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol, tool-calling specifications, or agent execution harnesses.
• Deep understanding of developer ergonomics, API design, CLI interfaces, and technical documentation.
• Excellent technical writing skills for quick-start guides, developer documentation, and architecture standards.
