Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

hirify.global hosts this role within a newly acquired startup building an AI-enabled, autonomous banking platform for Tier-1 financial institutions.

What you will do

• Build and scale multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure across EKS, GKE, and AKS for five-nines workloads.
• Architect active-active distributed systems and implement Terraform, Helm, and GitOps with Flux across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Own disaster recovery, failover, backup and restore, and multi-region resiliency.
• Drive zero-trust security, identity, multi-tenant isolation, cryptographic audit trails, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Lead AI-driven SRE automation, including auto-remediation, incident insights, and AI-based root-cause analysis.
• Support on-premises, air-gapped, and legacy integrations while mentoring and coaching engineers.

Requirements

• Deep Kubernetes experience, including EKS, GKE, or AKS.
• Experience with Terraform for multi-cloud infrastructure and GitOps tooling such as Flux or ArgoCD.
• Experience with Kafka or event streaming and distributed SQL databases.
• Experience programming in Go, Rust, or a similar language.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry observability stacks.
• Experience designing and owning disaster recovery, high availability, and zero-trust architectures.
• Strong ownership across the full infrastructure lifecycle and comfort operating in hybrid-cloud and regulated environments.
• Ability to integrate LLMs and agentic workflows into daily engineering practice.

• Kubernetes operators and custom resource definitions experience.
