Salary: $140,000–$168,000 in Zone C, $148,000–$178,000 in Zone B, or $158,000–$190,000 in Zone A; United States figures in USD.

What you will do

• Provide practical day-to-day employment advice on HR practices, performance management, terminations, leaves, investigations, and accommodations.
• Investigate and manage pre-litigation and litigation matters, including early-resolution strategies and coordination with outside counsel.
• Interpret federal, state, and international employment laws and turn them into practical policies and guidance.
• Advise a global workforce across borders, cultures, time zones, and jurisdictions.
• Partner with Employee Relations and People teams on complaints, investigations, performance management, and accommodations.
• Build scalable compliance processes and monitor employment-law developments across U.S. jurisdictions and internationally.

Requirements

• 4+ years of employment-law experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house, with an interest in advice and counseling.
• Active membership in good standing of a State Bar and eligibility to practice in the jurisdiction where you are based.
• J.D. from a top-tier law school.
• Experience counseling or litigating matters involving federal and state anti-discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws, ideally including California law.
• Strong problem-solving, judgment, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal topics clearly, manage shifting priorities, and work with multiple stakeholders.
• Resourceful, self-starting, ethical, strategic, collaborative, and relationship-oriented approach.
• Proactive interest in AI and emerging technologies.

• Prior in-house or seconded experience at a technology company.
