Senior Software Engineer (C++)

Location: <hirify.globalong>Arlington, VA, United Stateshirify.globalong>; other listed locations include Atlanta, Georgia; Dayton, Ohio; and Woburn, Massachusetts.

Salary: $138,000–$190,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and test C++ software for complex embedded radar systems, primarily for Air-to-Air applications.
• Translate system and software requirements into designs compliant with architectural and open-architecture conhirify.globalaints.
• Implement reliable, high-quality C++ software for mission-critical real-time systems.
• Develop test frameworks, analysis tools, and software interfaces; support unit- and system-level verification.
• Use and improve DevSecOps practices, participate in peer reviews, and document designs and interfaces.
• Perform root-cause analysis of software defects and implement corrections.

Requirements

• <hirify.globalong>U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance are required.hirify.globalong>
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in C++14 and software engineering techniques including multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating software with larger systems, including unit- and system-level testing.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and code-quality tools.
• Ability to adopt new programming languages, third-party frameworks, and innovative technologies.

Nice to have

• Active security clearance.
• Experience or familiarity with signal processing, mathematical modeling, radar concepts, GPU software development, RDMA, C++17 or later, and integrated hardware-software systems.
• Experience developing, optimizing, and translating MATLAB algorithms into efficient C++ code.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience with automation frameworks and tools for repetitive tasks and complex workflows.
• Domain expertise in electronic warfare, antenna apertures, sensor resource management, large-scale platform test systems, cyber-physical systems, or open-system architectures.
