Senior Technical Business & Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week, including Monday or Friday, at the St. Petersburg, Florida corporate office. Travel is less than 25%. Work visa sponsorship is not available currently or in the future.

What you will do

• Lead discovery, stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering, documentation, and validation for financial and organizational data, reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
• Analyze current-state processes, financial data, operational data, and legacy structures to identify trends, gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities.
• Support data migration and transformation by documenting business definitions, source-to-target requirements, mappings, validation rules, data quality issues, and cleansing needs.
• Act as a liaison between business operations, Product Management, application development, and delivery teams, translating technical concepts and business needs.
• Partner on project planning, schedules, reporting, documentation, testing, risk management, issue tracking, and change management; may lead small to medium projects.
• Collaborate with User Experience and Design resources to create prototypes and validate business functions, data requirements, and expected outcomes.

Requirements

• Three to five years of Business Analyst or Data Analyst experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; general experience is listed as three to six years.
• Knowledge of business analysis, requirements gathering and validation, risk management, issue tracking, change management, SDLC, and Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Knowledge of financial services and wealth management products, processes, data, relevant standards, and practices.
• Ability to analyze and document complex financial and organizational data, identify data quality issues, and apply sound analytical judgment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with business and technical audiences, manage multiple priorities, collaborate across teams, and act as a liaison between Product Management, application development, and business operations.
• Experience with SQL and database querying, source-to-target data mapping, transformation and validation rules, data quality assessment, cleansing, and legacy and modern data structures.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
• Completed bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Computer and Information Science, or completed high school education as listed.
• No licenses or certifications are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting legacy data analysis, data migration, or data transformation projects.
• Broader financial services experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data lake and analytics technologies, including Amazon S3, Redshift, and Spark; familiarity with Kafka-based streaming on AWS.
• Experience with Qlik, SSRS, Tableau, or other reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access.
