Company

hirify.global is a vertically integrated aerospace company developing a scalable technology platform for critical infrastructure, mission operations, and the future of flight.

What you will do

  • Support the design and build-out of electrical avionics systems, in-house boards, flight hardware, ground-test infrastructure, and hardware-in-the-loop test beds.
  • Select, analyze, integrate, install, configure, and troubleshoot avionics components, sensors, and electronic systems.
  • Design, build, and test wire harnesses, connectors, and associated sub-components.
  • Write Python, Bash, or similar scripts and tools for test automation, data collection, and hardware bring-up.
  • Support subsystem and integration testing, analyze data, and verify requirements and performance.
  • Collaborate with software, GNC, propulsion, and structures engineers, own a scoped summer project, and present the results to the team.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on club, project, research, or internship experience with electrical or avionics systems.
  • Experience with wire harnesses, connectors, and soldering or crimping; familiarity with installing and troubleshooting electronic sensors and components.
  • Competence with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other electrical test equipment.
  • Exposure to schematic capture or PCB design tools such as Altium or KiCad.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, or a similar language for scripting and test automation.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and Ethernet.
  • Attention to detail, commitment to high-quality work, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for a full-time, in-person internship in San Francisco during Summer 2027 for approximately 10–12 weeks. The program begins June 7, 2027 for semester schools and June 27, 2027 for quarter schools.

Culture & Benefits

  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and hands-on work with real flight and test hardware.
  • Flat, pragmatic engineering culture focused on reliability, quality, and building functional systems.
  • Competitive hourly pay.
  • Company-funded team lunches, game nights, and other activities.
  • In-office work five days per week is considered essential to the role.
