Company

Divergent develops integrated engineering and manufacturing solutions for demanding automotive, aerospace, and defense applications.

What you will do

  • Manage sourcing and procurement for customer programs from development and low-rate initial production through full-rate production.
  • Translate BOMs, build schedules, and demand into procurement plans; manage engineering changes, shortages, part readiness, and recovery plans.
  • Lead sourcing for outside and special processes, machined parts, fabrications, castings, purchased components, tooling, fixtures, and consumables.
  • Assess supplier capacity, tooling, staffing, process capability, and rate readiness; develop alternate sources, capacity reservations, and buffer strategies.
  • Manage supplier performance, outside-process material flow, qualification, corrective actions, and long-term capacity relationships.
  • Lead cost analysis, commercial negotiations, supplier agreements, cost-reduction initiatives, and cross-functional supply-risk decisions.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or supply chain experience in program-driven manufacturing, including aerospace, defense, automotive, or similarly complex hardware industries.
  • Experience supporting production programs through changing BOMs, schedules, and demand, including shortage management and supply recovery.
  • Experience managing outside processes such as machining, heat treatment, finishing, coatings, NDT, or other special processes.
  • Experience preparing suppliers for production ramps through capacity planning, supplier qualification, and alternate-source development.
  • Ability to build practical tools and workflows where systems and processes are still developing.
  • Strong commercial negotiation, supplier-agreement, lead-time, and commercial-risk management skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP, PLM, and procurement systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Arena, or Windchill, plus advanced Excel and supply KPI analysis.

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or automotive programs from LRIP through full-rate production.
  • Experience with Nadcap-accredited processes, AS9102 First Article Inspection, or PPAP.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing, CNC machining, castings, or other advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, specifications, and process routings.
  • Experience in AS9100, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Experience with customer flow-down requirements, DFARS/ITAR, international sourcing, global supplier management, and senior-level supplier relationships.

Culture & Benefits

  • Regular full-time employment in a collaborative, dynamic, high-performing, mission-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Salary, equity plan, and discretionary results-based incentive bonus opportunities.
  • Paid vacation, sick time, company holidays, year-end shutdown, and paid parental leave.
  • HMO and Premium PPO health plans, company-sponsored life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Learning and development reimbursement opportunities.
