Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Christiansburg, VA, United States of America; onsite work schedule. The posting also lists remote availability. The role requires approximately 10–15% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies, policies, procedures, and performance indicators supporting business growth and operational excellence.
• Build scalable processes while integrating legacy practices for high-reliability manufacturing programs.
• Manage supplier selection, performance, negotiations, risk mitigation, and relationships with outsourced and contract manufacturing partners.
• Lead sourcing and procurement for direct and indirect materials, demand planning, inventory management, material flow, and supply continuity.
• Support new product introductions and prototype builds through supply chain planning and execution.
• Lead the local supply chain team and cross-functional projects with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales to improve cost, quality, delivery, profitability, agility, resilience, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience leading supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or materials management functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and implementing supply chain strategies, processes, and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, supplier management, inventory control, demand planning, and material flow management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing solutions to complex supply chain challenges.
• Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills; familiarity with mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
