Manager - Supply Chain (Aerospace)

Salary: $97,800–$149,950 per year

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of up to 20 employees, driving individual and team performance through the established Performance Management System.
• Manage purchased direct parts, daily operational activities, annual budgets, and spend within the area of responsibility.
• Build supplier relationships, obtain timely information, monitor performance, and conduct supplier program reviews and visits.
• Control inventory levels, coordinate logistics and part prioritization, and support efficient material delivery to the site and work areas.
• Analyze supply chain KPIs, including on-time part and supplier delivery, shortages, kit fill rate, and Lines of Balance.
• Improve processes, reduce costs, resolve supply chain disruptions and quality issues, develop advance-warning signals, and lead root-cause corrective action.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a supply chain professional and/or in management in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles covering logistics, procurement, inventory management, and demand planning.
• Strong leadership, team management, communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Experience with supply chain management systems, inventory management software, data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and MRP systems; SAP preferred.
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups, managing projects and time, presenting to and interacting with all organizational levels, and effecting change.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, team members, and stakeholders in verbal and written form.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA or master’s degree.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
• APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or another industry certification.
• Governance and compliance experience, including AS9100 or other external audits.
• Aerospace experience.
