Senior Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

Salary: $83,400–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Own and develop the process-improvement and project portfolio for new and existing products.
• Investigate, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, workflows, tooling, test systems, and machine designs.
• Coordinate Kaizen and continuous-improvement activities using hirify.global Business System principles, including standard work, one-piece flow, visual controls, 5S, and variability reduction.
• Plan and lead manufacturing engineering projects that improve cycle time, productivity, quality, and safe resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot internal and external quality issues through root cause analysis, including RCA, 5 Why, and 8D, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Mentor peers and early-career engineers while supporting quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or industrial engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Analytical and statistical problem-solving skills, with familiarity with statistical methods and software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Proficiency with database tools and the ability to use programming languages to modify and maintain databases and reporting.
• Experience with process improvement, problem solving, and process-control methodologies including DMAIC, 6 Sigma, Lean, and SPC.
• Knowledge of DFM, lean production flow, quality systems including ISO 9001, and quality tools such as MSA, R&R, and PFMEA.
• Hands-on mechanical ability for solving tooling and equipment challenges, plus CAPEX project management experience.
• Ability to integrate and work effectively in a team, communicate consistently across the organization, manage multiple priorities, own change, and deliver results.
• Overtime may be required; safety glasses are required on the factory floor.

Nice to have

• Green Belt, Black Belt, or similar certification.
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW and SolidWorks.
• Experience integrating automation technology and vision systems.
