Solution Architect (CRE)

Location: Remote; New York and Canada. Working-hours overlap with US Eastern business hours is required for workshops, gate reviews, and client sessions.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end architecture across ingestion, storage, canonical data models, data quality, AI services, reporting, and user-facing applications.
• Design single-tenant platforms in client-owned cloud environments with identity, role- and fund-based access, network isolation, secrets management, audit logging, test environments, and backups.
• Define canonical real estate data models and read-only integrations for accounting, operator, investor, deal, leasing, document, SharePoint, and Excel systems.
• Architect trust and AI layers covering reconciliation, lineage, immutable snapshots, retrieval with cited sources, agent workflows, evaluation, guardrails, and client approvals.
• Set production requirements for performance, resilience, monitoring, deployment, rollback, and release readiness; design legacy migration and parallel runs.
• Lead technical decisions, process and value-case design, client workshops, and handover documentation for the client’s platform team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Platform Architecture, or senior software engineering, with a record of designing secure, production-grade enterprise systems.
• Hands-on Azure design and deployment covering identity, network segregation, secrets management, and secure environment configuration; AWS experience is also relevant.
• Experience designing lakehouse or warehouse platforms with layered zones, ELT orchestration, reconciliation, data quality frameworks, and immutable snapshots.
• Strong working knowledge of Python-based services, APIs, PostgreSQL or similar data stores, and modern web application architectures.
• Ability to design end-to-end solutions connecting data pipelines, business logic, analytics or machine learning, and operational interfaces.
• Practical experience integrating enterprise systems that cannot be changed, such as property accounting, investor and fund platforms, deal and leasing platforms, valuation tools, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Strong judgment around traceability, deterministic workflows, explainability, release control, and auditable reporting.
• Experience with LLM-based extraction, cited-source retrieval, agent orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, and deciding where AI must not affect reported numbers.
• Ability to work in fast, hypothesis-driven delivery cycles, use LLM code assistants and agentic engineering, and run technical workshops with data owners and senior client executives.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Synapse and Power BI.
• Institutional real estate knowledge, including fund, entity, asset, and JV hierarchies; rent rolls; operating statements; budget versus actuals; T-12; debt covenants; test dates; and locked underwriting.
• Equivalent experience in another fragmented, ERP-heavy landscape where the real estate learning curve would be short.
