TL;DR
Deputy EIA Department Manager (Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation/Automation): Supporting the leadership and growth of the EIA Department while leading electrical engineering delivery across industrial and Life Sciences projects with an accent on technical excellence, multidisciplinary coordination, and people development. Focus on managing complex engineering challenges, guiding projects from concept through handover, and preparing for future department leadership.

Location: Office-based in Niel, Belgium

What you will do

  • Support the operational and strategic management of the EIA Department and assume deputy leadership responsibilities when required.
  • Provide technical leadership for Electrical Engineering and lead EIA projects from concept through construction and handover.
  • Ensure compliant, high-quality engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery with Process, Mechanical, Building Services, and CSA teams.
  • Support recruitment, resource planning, capability development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates, client relationships, Multi-Office Execution, and Site Services activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, including experience in a Lead or Senior Engineer role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial and Life Sciences electrical systems.
  • Good understanding of Instrumentation, Automation, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
