Electrical - Automation & Instrumentation Department Manager

What you will do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation department within the Benelux Business Unit.
• Lead resource planning, recruitment, succession planning, capability development, and continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental performance, utilization targets, client relationships, proposals, fee estimates, and commercial reviews.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical, instrumentation, automation, and Building Management Systems disciplines.
• Oversee multidisciplinary project delivery from concept through commissioning and handover, acting as a senior escalation point for technical challenges.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while driving engagement, accountability, and talent retention.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of Electrical Engineering experience in a consulting, EPCM, or engineering environment.
• Experience as a Department Manager, Discipline Manager, Engineering Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, resources, and project delivery.
• Strong commercial, client management, and business development experience.
• Good understanding of Instrumentation, Automation, and Building Management Systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• The position is part-time and undertaken alongside another management, design, or project execution role.
