QA Engineering Leader (Retail Concept Operations)

What you will do

• Own QA strategy and planning, develop test plans, define acceptance criteria, and lead verification and validation for built and purchased software solutions.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver QA activities on time across product and platform teams.
• Coach and mentor digital product teams on QA frameworks, methodologies, best practices, and a quality-first mindset.
• Drive clarity and consistency in requirements and embed quality assurance from design through delivery.
• Champion test data creation, mocking, test automation, and decoupled architectures that enable effective interface-level testing.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in performance testing, penetration testing, high-availability assurance, and quality discussions with consultancy partners.

Requirements

• Experience leading quality assurance strategy, planning, verification, and validation for digital products or platforms.
• Knowledge of QA frameworks, methodologies, tools, test automation, test data creation, and mocking approaches.
• Ability to define acceptance criteria and drive clarity, consistency, and quality in software requirements.
• Ability to coach product management, engineering, platform, and digital product teams on quality practices.
• Knowledge of decoupled architectures and interface-level testing.
• Expertise in specialist QA disciplines including performance testing, penetration testing, and high-availability assurance.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering managers, product and platform leaders, software engineers, and consultancy partners.
