What you will do

• Produce a weekly Sunday morning political affairs program with in-depth analysis of major political developments.
• Research local, national, and international political issues and develop original segments, storylines, interviews, and panels.
• Lead weekly planning and editorial direction, maintaining accurate, balanced coverage and a consistent editorial voice and visual style.
• Coordinate guests, live shots, Zoom interviews, prerecorded packages, directors, reporters, and technical crews.
• Direct live broadcasts from the control room and oversee editorial decisions during post-production.
• Adapt and promote program content across broadcast, web, and social media, while providing backup line-producing support for other newscasts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1–3 years of experience producing live news in a medium- to large-market television environment.
• Excellent, grammatically accurate written and verbal Spanish; bilingual ability required.
• Experience engaging digital audiences, storytelling, and using social media and digital tools.
• Knowledge of television production, news-gathering equipment, and computer systems.
• Strong knowledge of current events, especially local and regional political figures and influencers.
• High motivation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle breaking news, meet strict deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
