Senior Storage Engineer (Private Cloud)

Location: Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid position working in the office up to 2 days a week, primarily during CET core business hours, with flexibility for global time zones and on-call maintenance required by customer SLA commitments.

What you will do

• Design, operate, and continuously improve enterprise storage infrastructure for the private cloud environment.
• Manage and optimize SAN and NAS platforms, including provisioning, capacity, performance, availability, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Administer and troubleshoot NFS and iSCSI services, Linux host connectivity, multipathing, and shared storage for VMware and KVM/libvirt/QEMU.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across storage, Linux, virtualization, network, and application layers.
• Plan and execute storage migrations, upgrades, and technology refreshes with minimal disruption to production services.
• Automate storage operations with Ansible, scripting, and APIs, support replication and disaster recovery, and collaborate with infrastructure teams and vendors on future architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on administration of enterprise storage environments.
• At least 5 years of production experience with SAN and NAS storage technologies.
• At least 5 years of experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise storage with NFS and iSCSI, including host connectivity.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise storage in Linux environments, including storage connectivity and multipathing.
• At least 5 years of experience managing storage provisioning, capacity, performance, availability, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Experience supporting storage infrastructure integrated with VMware and/or KVM/libvirt/QEMU.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across storage, Linux, virtualization, and network infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with multiple enterprise storage platforms and vendors.
• Experience with storage migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or technology refreshes.
• Experience automating storage operations using Ansible, scripting, or APIs.
• Experience with storage replication and disaster recovery.
