Senior Associate, Fund Accounting, Real Assets (Yardi experience preferred)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid workplace

Salary: CAD 72,000–105,600 yearly

What you will do

• Maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for real asset funds using Yardi.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reporting, NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, and waterfall calculations.
• Coordinate property-level data, valuations, and performance metrics for fund-level consolidation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support audits and tax processes by coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and clients.
• Improve Yardi-related systems and workflows, mentor junior team members, review their work, and resolve client and stakeholder queries.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience working with real asset structures, including property, REIT, SPV, JV, or co-investment structures.
• Experience with Yardi or other accounting software.
• Ability to prepare financial statements under relevant standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, or ASPE.

Nice to have

• Professional accounting designation such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent, completed or in progress.
