What you will do

• Apply systems engineering processes across the complete system development life cycle, from concept development and requirements through deployment, operations, and sustainment.
• Develop and maintain MBSE products and operational, functional, logical, physical, interface, and mission architecture views using Cameo, SysML, and UAF.
• Develop, decompose, allocate, trace, and validate mission, stakeholder, system, and interface requirements.
• Conduct architecture trade studies, mission-thread analyses, technical risk assessments, and system-of-systems integration assessments.
• Evaluate AI/ML-enabled capability integration, including data dependencies, interfaces, performance measures, validation approaches, and operational risks.
• Perform modeling and simulation with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, or comparable tools, and support integration, testing, verification, validation, baseline management, briefings, and architecture reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 8–10 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 6–8 years or a PhD with 3–5 years.
• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Experience supporting systems engineering across the engineering V-model and full system development life cycle.
• Hands-on experience using Cameo Systems Modeler to develop and maintain MBSE artifacts, with experience applying SysML and/or UAF to mission, system, enterprise, or system-of-systems architectures.
• Experience with requirements development, traceability, interface definition, architecture analysis, and technical baseline management.
• Experience performing modeling and simulation analysis using MATLAB, STK, AFSIM, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integrating AI-enabled capabilities into complex mission, intelligence, defense, or enterprise systems.
• Working knowledge of Agile/SAFe methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and present technical recommendations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• INCOSE, Cameo, SysML, UAF, Agile, or other relevant systems engineering certification.
• Experience supporting a Chief Architect organization, SETA, SEIT, or government acquisition organization.
• Experience with intelligence-community, space, cyber, GEOINT, SIGINT, OPIR, radar, electro-optical, or other mission-critical systems.
• Experience with cloud architectures, digital engineering ecosystems, data engineering, or AI/ML deployment in secure environments.
