Compliance Manager (iGaming)

Location: Hybrid in Valletta, Malta; candidates must be based in Malta or able to work from Malta.

What you will do

• Manage and support compliance strategy and jurisdictional compliance activity, with a focus on Spain and Latin America.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain compliance control frameworks, policies, and procedures across business processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into timely actions.
• Oversee licensing activity and ongoing compliance with licence conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal and external compliance audits, remediation actions, reporting, and regulatory filings.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, hirify.global business units, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least three years of compliance experience within the gambling industry; candidates from outside the industry are not in scope.
• Strong B2B gambling compliance experience with limited ramp-up; strong B2C experience may be considered when transition to B2B is clearly demonstrated.
• Understanding of multi-jurisdictional gambling regulation, licensing, and compliance frameworks, ideally including Spain and/or Latin America.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, business, or another relevant field.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work with limited supervision, make independent decisions, and own deadlines and linked cross-team assignments.
• Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail, and confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels.
• Collaborative approach, with the ability to share information and support colleagues while managing an independent portfolio.
• Must be based in Malta or able to work from Malta.

Nice to have

• Professional fluency in Spanish.
• Direct B2B gambling compliance experience covering Spain and/or Latin America.
• Master’s degree or relevant professional compliance qualification, such as ICA or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional certification.
• Experience representing a business in regulatory meetings, industry forums, or complex licensing discussions.
• Additional language capability relevant to international markets.
