Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java+JS)

Location: Remote from Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania

What you will do

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend components for systems supporting calls, proposals, grants, audits, and related business processes.
• Implement business logic, responsive interfaces, RESTful APIs, web services, and database integrations.
• Apply security practices for validation, authentication, authorization, storage, logging, and monitoring.
• Test, debug, troubleshoot, monitor, and improve application stability and performance across environments.
• Deploy and manage applications with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Review code, mentor and onboard team members, collaborate with QA, refine requirements, estimate work, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• University degree corresponding to EQF Level 6, typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 12+ years of professional IT experience.
• Strong Java backend experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, plus knowledge of Angular, React, Vue, or Bootstrap.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with WebLogic, JEE, EJB, AWS or Azure, and cloud application deployment.
• Experience designing and securing REST APIs with OpenAPI or Swagger, using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with Maven, GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus, or similar build and CI/CD tools; Jira, Git, Bitbucket, and wiki-based collaboration tools; Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SOA and service bus architectures; experience with Agile and Scrum, JUnit and Mockito, and SonarQube, SonarLint, HP Fortify, or similar code analysis tools.
• Experience with Apache Camel and Drools, plus AI coding tools such as Amazon Q or Kiro.
• Strong mentoring, communication, and leadership skills.
• English or French proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of system analysis and project management.
