Annual base pay range: $142,500–$213,500 USD

What you will do

• Build and operate production LLM workflows in n8n and similar platforms, including retrieval, answer drafting, routing, confidence scoring, human review, and approval gates.
• Develop APIs, integrations, and data pipelines connecting CRM, support, and operational systems.
• Define evaluation sets, groundedness and accuracy checks, quality thresholds, reporting, and LLM usage and spend tracking.
• Protect sensitive data through scoped access, PII handling, permissions, audit logs, monitoring, error handling, and version control.
• Pair-build with department teams, create runbooks and architecture documentation, train champions, and hand systems over to owning teams.
• Identify automation opportunities, design integration and data-flow architectures, evaluate tools and models, and make build-versus-buy recommendations.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software engineering, integration development, or automation engineering.
• Production experience with workflow platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Tray.io, building automations relied on by other teams.
• Experience designing reliable autonomous agents using tool calling, orchestration, guardrails, human escalation, and evaluation feedback loops.
• Python or TypeScript experience, API design skills, and understanding of monitoring, error handling, version control, and deployment discipline.
• Hands-on production use of Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google LLM APIs, including prompt design and structured outputs.
• Retrieval experience with vector databases such as Qdrant or pgvector, including chunking and grounding.
• Experience measuring LLM output quality with test sets, graded review, or evaluations.
• Experience handling sensitive production data, including PII, permissions, and audit logging.
• Teaching and documentation skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders without jargon.

Nice to have

• MCP servers, agent frameworks, or tool-calling design experience.
• Experience governing shared LLM cost budgets or API keys.
• CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, data engineering or ETL, and warehouse analytics such as Snowflake.
• Experience with support, customer success, professional services, or internal tools used by colleagues.
• Training, facilitation, mentoring, or comfort working in ambiguous environments.
