Senior Analyst - Confirmations Operations - Emerging Market Rates

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end confirmations process for Emerging Market Rates products, including affirmation, chasing, indexing, matching, validation, trade verification, and drafting.
• Draft legal confirmations for vanilla and complex structured trades and support MTN notes-related processing.
• Liaise with Sales, Trading, Legal, Front Office teams, and external counterparties to resolve booking discrepancies and outstanding confirmation issues.
• Manage post-trade lifecycle events, including novations and early terminations.
• Ensure confirmations are issued and executed within internal SLAs and regulatory timelines, including EMIR, Dodd-Frank, CFTC, and HKMA requirements.
• Support process improvement, automation, risk management, customer service, and team performance initiatives.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in Emerging Market Rates is mandatory.
• Experience in Emerging Market Rates and excellent product knowledge are mandatory.
• End-to-end confirmations experience for FX and Precious Metals Options is mandatory, including affirmation, chasing, indexing, matching, validation, and drafting.
• Experience managing ISDA confirmations and Master Confirmation Agreements, with familiarity with ISDA definitions.
• Degree in accounting, finance, management, or business administration; higher qualifications are acceptable where aspirations are commensurate with the position.
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English for business letters and reports.
• Good conversational and telephone skills, communication, planning, organizing, numerical, analytical, and MS Office skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge, maintain focus with voluminous data, multitask, build rapport, and work under challenging conditions with tight timelines.
• Flexibility to work shifts and openness to change and process improvements.
