Technical Deployment Lead (AI)

Location: Paris, France; hybrid policy requiring staff to be in one of Anthropic's offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time. Travel to customer sites is expected 25–50%.

What you will do

• Own technical delivery plans and statements of work, translating customer objectives into sequenced roadmaps with scope, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and value hypotheses.
• Lead technical discovery by mapping workflows, identifying constraints, defining MVP scope, and shaping architectures for custom AI agent deployments.
• Coordinate day-to-day engineering execution across Anthropic and customer teams, managing priorities, trade-offs, risks, scope changes, and delivery operations.
• Own product scoping, requirements documentation, engineering backlog prioritization, and customer relationship management throughout delivery.
• Lead executive briefings, stakeholder communications, value measurement, ROI reporting, and adoption activities at customer sites.
• Codify reusable solution patterns, evaluation frameworks, and technical playbooks while feeding field insights to Product and Research.

Requirements

• 5+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership in technical engagement, program or product management, founders/startups, professional services, consulting, enterprise software, or related technical roles.
• Experience delivering AI, ML, or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, including understanding of solution patterns, integration approaches, and real-world deployment challenges.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and pressure-test technical decisions; production coding is not required, but ownership of technical direction alongside Forward Deployed Engineers is required.
• Track record delivering complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients through tight coordination and fast decision-making, ideally across multiple workstreams in regulated industries.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to represent Anthropic credibly with senior business and engineering leaders.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, create structure, and build a new function.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Background in Forward Deployed Engineering, professional services, or consulting firms.
• Exceptional understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.
• Experience with regulated industries and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing delivery teams with engineers embedded at customer sites.
• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, tool-use patterns, and orchestration architectures.
