Senior Analyst - Confirmations Operations - FX & Precious Metals

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid work with a minimum expectation of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home. A valid Malaysian work permit is mandatory.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end confirmations process for FX and Precious Metal Options and Emerging Market Rates, including affirmation, chasing, indexing, matching, validation, and drafting.
• Draft legal confirmations for vanilla and complex structured products and verify trade economics, payoff structures, and pricing factors against term sheets and front-office risk systems.
• Resolve booking discrepancies and outstanding confirmation issues with Sales, Trading, Legal, Front Office teams, and external counterparties.
• Manage post-trade lifecycle events, including novations and early terminations, and support MTN notes-related processing.
• Meet internal SLA and regulatory timelines, including EMIR, Dodd-Frank, CFTC, HKMA, and other applicable requirements.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, operational risk management, and overall team performance.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of mandatory experience in FX and Precious Metal Options and Emerging Market Rates.
• Mandatory end-to-end confirmations experience covering affirmation, chasing, indexing, matching, validation, and drafting for FX and Precious Metal Options.
• Mandatory product knowledge of FX and Precious Metal Options and Emerging Market Rates.
• Experience managing ISDA confirmations and Master Confirmation Agreements, with familiarity with ISDA definitions.
• Degree in accounting, finance, management, or business administration; higher qualifications are acceptable where aspirations are commensurate with the position.
• Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to write business letters and reports and communicate by telephone.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with good numerical and analytical skills; ability to work with voluminous data, multitask, organize work, and meet tight timelines.
• Flexibility to work shifts and ability to learn quickly, transfer knowledge, build rapport, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
