Detection Engineer, Falcon Complete (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote

Base salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year for U.S. candidates, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Research threats and hunt for emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures to develop intelligence-driven detections.
• Develop, test, review, and deploy high-fidelity CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM detection rules.
• Use CI/CD practices to deploy detections as code and contribute to AI-powered, LLM-assisted detection workflows.
• Collaborate with SIEM architects on parsing and normalizing data into a common event schema.
• Build utilities, maintain documentation, improve managed-service efficiency, and participate in the Detection Engineer handler on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a detection engineer, security engineer, security analyst, threat intelligence analyst, or in a related field.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats and their detection using SIEM and related technologies.
• Experience analyzing large datasets across multiple vendors and technologies.
• Experience with SIEM solutions such as LogScale, Splunk, SumoLogic, Sentinel, QRadar, or LogRhythm.
• Python or other scripting experience is strongly preferred.
• Curious, self-motivated approach with high standards for work quality.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Relevant industry certifications such as GCFA, GCDA, or GCIH.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI coding agents; hands-on experience integrating or building LLM-assisted workflows is a plus.
