What you will do

• Translate written documents and materials between English and Marshallese.
• Review, proofread, and edit translations for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency.
• Provide occasional phone and video interpretation, voice recordings, and other language-related project support.
• Support projects involving employment, training, orientation, meetings, human resources, health services, and other operational activities.
• Maintain confidentiality, manage multiple assignments, and meet project deadlines while communicating with team members about requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Marshallese and English, particularly in written translation.
• Interpreter/translation assessment score of 90% or higher.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Reliable internet connection and basic computer and typing skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurately convey information.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in translation or interpreting.
• At least one year of translation or interpreting experience; equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
• Knowledge of translation and interpreting best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms.
