Senior Systems Engineer (Tactical Networking)

Location: Onsite at the KTS facility in Des Plaines, Illinois, United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and evaluate networking algorithms optimized for tactical networking environments.
• Perform modeling and simulation to evaluate algorithm performance and support a virtual routing environment tool.
• Develop system requirements, test procedures, and automated tools for evaluating system performance.
• Evaluate, prototype, and integrate tactical radios and communication systems into existing networking designs.
• Support system integration, verification and validation, effectiveness analysis, demonstrations, and test events with customers and Warfighters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with networking and routing protocols, Linux operating systems, and networking stacks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including algorithm design experience.
• Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable programming in C, C++, or a scripting language.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance; United States citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.

Nice to have

• Experience with tactical MANET radios and HAIPE encryptors.
• Technical and integration experience with battlespace CONOPS and mission-oriented solutions.
