Specialist, Systems Engineering - Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Support reliability engineering across Space and Airborne Systems programs.
• Perform failure analysis, production-test monitoring, statistical trend analysis, and reliability-impact assessment.
• Generate FRACAS reports and lead Failure Review Boards and Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations.
• Work with Production, Engineering, suppliers, and other functional groups to resolve production and product issues.
• Drive corrective actions, sustainment activities, and product-performance improvements throughout the lifecycle.
• Interpret, condense, and present technical findings to audiences with different levels of experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience; alternatively, 8 years of related experience without a degree.
• Avionics manufacturing or other high-reliability manufacturing experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of FRACAS systems and proven experience generating FRACAS reports.
• Familiarity with avionics PCBs, fiber-optic assemblies, and mechanical assembly manufacturing.
• Experience with failure analysis, problem-solving methods, and electrical, mechanical, material, component, and test failures.
• Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action processes and experience leading related investigations.
• Experience collaborating in teams across multiple concurrent projects with overlapping deadlines.
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.

Nice to have

• Production-test experience, including Environment Stress Screening and troubleshooting temperature-related failures.
• Experience with production build processes and workmanship standards.
• Statistical analysis experience and the ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
• Aerospace or Defense/Government program experience.
