Launch Integration Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States; on-site work at a government partner location is required.

Hiring range: $104,000–$156,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Author vehicle processing and checkout activities at the launch site from receiving through launch operations.
• Develop and release build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for initial builds and ongoing programs.
• Support first-article builds, repeatability, product quality, and scalable processes for higher launch rates.
• Provide hands-on floor support during build and test, resolve real-time issues, incorporate technician feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with design, supply chain, production, and test teams on part readiness, tooling, schedules, and handoffs.
• Contribute to manufacturing systems and infrastructure, including tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, and production documentation standards.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or a related technical field and 2+ years of hands-on experience building and testing hardware in a manufacturing or integration environment.
• Experience investigating hardware issues, resolving non-conformances, and performing root cause analysis with effective corrective actions.
• Familiarity with general assembly and test procedures, including structural proof testing and pressurized leak checks.
• Ability to work across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test teams to ensure hardware quality and schedule alignment.
• Experience collaborating with technicians, engineers, and external vendors.
• Proficiency in CAD and basic design or test analysis.
• Experience with mechanical assembly of large-scale, complex systems.
• Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at the government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting new aerospace product introduction or transitioning hardware from development to operational use, particularly in high-rate or scaling environments.
• Experience authoring and executing test procedures, including acting as a test conductor for system-level verification or large mechanical assemblies and crane operations.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management systems.
• Familiarity with hazardous operations, fluid system safety, or pressurized or high-risk test execution.
• Experience in fast-paced or lean environments, including production and test site collaboration, tool development, or leading small teams through complex build or test efforts.
• Availability to travel to production and test sites supporting Terran R development.
