Data Scientist (Poly Required)

Location: Bethesda, MD, US; onsite role.

What you will do

• Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data for project development and execution.
• Track institution and program data and metrics, evaluating data quality and reliability.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and written materials that communicate findings, trends, patterns, and predictions to leadership.
• Generate and present data insights using statistical software and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Support, coordinate, and promote strategic initiatives and projects.
• Use Excel, Access, VBA, SQL, Python, or similar tools to manipulate data and maintain related datasets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, public policy, economics, sociology, education, business analytics, or a related social science field from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of directly comparable experience working with quantitative information and data.
• Ability to generate and present data insights using statistical software and data visualization tools.
• Experience with programming or coding, such as Visual Basic, SQL, or similar; VBA or Python may be used with Excel, and VBA or SQL with Access.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required.
• Proficient or advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Access, or related spreadsheet and database applications.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in graphic design.
• Training in and experience with advanced statistical techniques.
