Silicon Infrastructure Engineer (Python/Bazel)

What you will do

• Create and support Python tooling for silicon verification and physical design workflows centred on silicon EDA tools.
• Support Bazel builds and integrate new silicon EDA tools throughout the chip lifecycle.
• Create and improve Python developer tools for frontend and backend silicon teams.
• Make existing workflows cacheable and reproducible.
• Work with engineering teams to build and optimise workloads.

Requirements

• Experience with silicon EDA tooling.
• Experience with build-system tooling such as Bazel or Pants.
• Proficiency in modern software development languages, especially Python.
• Experience with workload management and grid compute systems such as Slurm, LSF, or SGE.
• Experience with containerisation frameworks such as Docker or Singularity, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Ansible or Terraform, and maintaining compute infrastructure.
• Experience setting up and monitoring observability tooling for resource utilisation, machine failures, and related infrastructure metrics, such as Prometheus or Zabbix.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving network, storage, CPU, and RAM bottlenecks across complex workloads.
