Senior Full Stack Engineer (Senior Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services)

Location: Fully remote, available to candidates residing in Alabama, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia. Occasional travel to client sites or company meetings is required.

Salary: $120,588–$195,955 annually; hiring range: $120,588–$126,000. Discretionary performance-based bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Lead technical architecture, application design, API architecture, integration patterns, and technical standards for scalable production services.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, reusable application components, and frontend integrations.
• Build secure authentication, authorization, identity and access management, data exchange, event-driven, and service orchestration solutions.
• Partner with DevOps and engineering teams on deployment, observability, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and production readiness.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical decisions, API documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Collaborate with product, UX/design, data, security, infrastructure, and client stakeholders while mentoring engineers and participating in Agile planning.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing production applications across backend and frontend technologies, including RESTful APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Experience leading application architecture and technical design decisions while remaining hands-on with development.
• Experience designing integrations between applications, APIs, enterprise systems, middleware, or third-party services.
• Knowledge of secure data exchange, authentication, authorization, identity and access management, or comparable security-sensitive patterns.
• Experience developing scalable, reusable components; contributing to modern frontend implementation; and performing automated/API testing, debugging, and performance troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud-based application environments, and Agile software delivery.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, DevOps, product, design, data, and security disciplines, document technical decisions, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced application proficiency, analytical and synthetic thinking, adaptability, ownership, consultative advising, influential communication, and client-priority management.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architecture and service orchestration patterns.
• Experience designing reusable APIs and application components for multiple products, systems, or use cases.
• Experience delivering applications involving significant security, privacy, or data-protection considerations.
• Experience taking applications from technical design through production deployment and ongoing operational support.
