1st Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Hybrid, Barcelona, Spain. The role is based in Spain, and applicants must have the legal right to work in Spain.

What you will do

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support in Spain.
• Resolve hardware, software, access, device, operating system, and business application issues, escalating when needed.
• Manage the service desk queue and keep users informed.
• Set up new starters and offboard leavers, including device builds and account access.
• Maintain IT hardware and asset records.
• Support system rollouts, promote security awareness, identify recurring issues, and improve IT support processes.

Requirements

• Experience in a service desk or first-line IT support role.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across devices, operating systems, and common business applications.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and service desk processes.
• Understanding of security basics, including passwords, phishing, and safe data handling.
• Clear, patient communication with people of all technical abilities.
• Organised, proactive approach with a strong focus on service quality.
• Legal right to work in Spain.
