Integration Engineer, Fluid Systems Test (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States; willingness to work evenings and/or weekends is required to support critical mission milestones.

Salary: $86,100–$122,220 for Engineer Level I, $112,340–$159,468 for Engineer Level II, and $137,760–$195,552 for Senior Engineer Level III per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and commission fluid-system ground support equipment and test stands.
• Develop and execute test plans for on-vehicle checkouts, fluids, instrumentation, and high-pressure testing.
• Serve as test director, provide status updates, and lead handoff meetings.
• Conduct PDRs, CDRs, and TRRs before design and test execution.
• Produce mechanical, fluid, and instrumentation schematics and document non-conformances.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, subject-matter experts, and technicians on corrective actions, test schedules, and complex fluid-system problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Manufacturing experience, including internships, managing a product or product line across multiple work centers or departments, or working with fluid, pressurized, propulsion, or environmental-control hardware in design, manufacturing, or test.
• 2–4+ years of experience for Manufacturing Engineer II or 4–6+ years for Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
• Hands-on fabrication, assembly, and/or integration experience.
• CAD proficiency; NX is preferred.

Nice to have

• Hands-on hardware-building or testing experience through industry or student teams such as Formula SAE, rocketry, CubeSat, or robotics.
• Experience with aerospace, spacecraft, propulsion, safety-critical, or high-reliability hardware.
• Experience taking designs or processes from concept through build or test and from R&D to production.
• Familiarity with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Ansys, or similar tools.
• Awareness of IPC, SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-5001, or MIL-STD-810 standards.
• Proficiency applying GD&T, structured root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• At Senior level: experience mentoring engineers or technicians and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
