Manager, Device & Merchant Technology (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the payment-device lifecycle from forecasting and purchasing through deployment, support, replacement, returns, refurbishment, and retirement.
• Manage POS Portal’s configuration, warehousing, fulfilment, reporting, returns, contractual commitments, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Maintain serial-number records and operational controls while monitoring device performance, availability, condition, inventory, costs, and vendor charges.
• Lead Business Unit estate migrations, including sequencing, customer communications, readiness, service continuity, risks, dependencies, and exceptions.
• Govern terminal configuration standards and coordinate software, firmware, security updates, launches, certifications, and upgrades with Product, Engineering, Operations, manufacturers, and vendors.
• Maintain PCI, security, and regulatory controls; resolve escalations, improve incident trends, develop device-estate strategy, and drive automation and standardisation.

Requirements

• Experience managing payment terminals, hardware, or a comparable technology estate at scale within payments, merchant acquiring, fintech, or payment operations.
• Strong vendor-management and communication skills across Business Units, technical teams, and external partners.
• Working knowledge of device lifecycle management, fulfilment, inventory, and operational controls.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn performance data into clear actions.
• Experience with POS Portal or a similar provider, acquiring, PayFac, or payment processing; experience across multiple geographies or Business Units is preferred.
• Knowledge of SmartPOS, integrated commerce, terminal technologies, PCI DSS, and device-security requirements.
