Maintenance Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Location: USA - CT - Bloomfield; onsite at a high-speed food manufacturing plant

Salary: $107,500–$147,800 base annually

What you will do

• Lead plant maintenance activities and develop the site Asset Care and Reliability strategy for manufacturing and utilities systems.
• Build maintenance team capability by leading training, workforce development, and resource planning.
• Provide technical support for equipment purchases, maintenance, installations, upgrades, and plant improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve maintenance issues, improve processes, and support operational excellence.
• Plan and execute CapEx projects, equipment installations, layouts, utility connections, and controls adjustments with corporate engineering support.
• Manage maintenance expense and capital budgets, vendor relationships, safety compliance, employee conduct, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, including 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Supervisory experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting equipment installations, upgrades, or capital improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite at the Bloomfield, Connecticut plant.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance or capital project experience.
• Experience leading teams, driving performance, and fostering continuous improvement; transformation experience in Total Productive Maintenance.
• Six Sigma, CMRP, SMRP, PMP, or similar certifications.
• Knowledge of CMMS such as SAP, storeroom and parts room operations, and MRO.
• Knowledge of safety standards, GMPs, sanitary equipment design, RCM, FMEA, RCA, and other reliability methods.
• Experience managing CapEx and capital equipment installations, vendor coordination, corporate engineering collaboration, technical drawings, equipment specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Experience in continuous-operation environments and matrixed organizations, including budget preparation and capital budget execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
